White Cross
White Cross Ministries is an organization born out of WW I. Two ladies from Cleveland, Ohio assisted the Red Cross by providing bandages, surgical supplies as well as personal supplies to the soldiers during the war. They continued their ministry after the war by sending materials and supplies to missionaries. Churches had been doing this for years and now the ladies organized the efforts and re-named it White Cross. Originally, only women were responsible for White Cross. Today, entire congregations work together to fill annual quotas, coordinated by ABC Women’s Ministries. This church has been filling quotas for decades, shipping donated and home made items national and internationally.
